About the course
The IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is the gateway to the five-year Integrated Programme in Management offered by the IIMs, including IIM Indore and IIM Rohtak. It is one of the few chances a student has to enter an IIM straight after class 12, without waiting for a bachelor’s degree and the usual CAT route. The test measures quantitative ability, verbal ability, and reasoning, and a strong score puts you in line for one of the most sought-after management programmes in the country.

- Arithmetic (High weightage for Rohtak): Percentages, Profit, Loss & Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Ratio, Proportion & Variation, Averages, Mixtures & Alligations, Time, Speed & Distance (including Escalators, Boats & Streams), Time & Work.
- Number System: Divisibility Rules, HCF & LCM, Remainders, Unit Digit & Last Two Digits, Factorials, Surds & Indices.
- Algebra: Linear & Quadratic Equations, Polynomials, Inequalities & Modulus, Functions & Graphs, Logarithms, Progressions (AP, GP, HP).
- Geometry & Mensuration: Lines & Angles, Triangles, Circles, Quadrilaterals, Polygons, Coordinate Geometry (Straight lines, Distance & Section formula), 2D & 3D Mensuration (Areas and Volumes).
- Modern Mathematics (High weightage for Indore Short Answers): Permutations & Combinations, Probability (including Conditional Probability), Set Theory & Venn Diagrams, Matrices & Determinants.
- Data Interpretation (DI): Basics of Bar Graphs, Pie Charts, Line Graphs, Tables, and Data Caselets.
- Reading Comprehension (RC): Direct, inference-based, and central-theme questions from diverse passages.
- Grammar & Error Spotting: Subject-Verb Agreement, Tenses, Modifiers, Prepositions & Conjunctions, Active & Passive Voice, Direct & Indirect Speech.
- Vocabulary: Synonyms & Antonyms, Contextual Word Usage, Idioms & Phrases, One-Word Substitutions, Confusing Words/Homonyms, Spelling Errors.
- Verbal Logic: Para-jumbles (ordering scrambled sentences), Sentence Completion, Sentence Improvement, Verbal Analogies.
- Arrangements & Sequences: Linear, Circular, and Matrix Arrangements; Number & Alpha-numeric Series.
- Analytical Reasoning: Blood Relations, Direction Sense, Coding-Decoding, Clocks & Calendars, Cubes & Dices.
- Verbal Reasoning: Syllogisms, Statement & Conclusion, Strong & Weak Arguments, Cause & Effect.

Both lead to a five-year IPM, but the section pattern differs. IPMAT Indore focuses on Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability, while IPMAT Rohtak also includes Logical Reasoning. We prepare you for both so you can keep your options open.

Clearing the written exam is the first stage. Shortlisted students are then called for further rounds, usually a Written Ability Test and a Personal Interview, which decide final selection. Our coaching prepares you for all of these stages, not just the written paper.
